
FINDLAY---Commercial Savings Bank, in partnership with the Findlay•Hancock County Alliance, recently hosted its annual Economic Outlook luncheon with keynote speaker Dr. Ken Mayland. The event took place at the Findlay Country Club.
Dr. Mayland spoke to those in attendance about “How to Profit in a Crummy Economy.” His presentation focused on the factors that help economists predict future economic trends. Dr. Mayland is president of ClearView Economics, LLC, and was previously the Chief Economist of two major financial institutions. Graduating with degrees in economics from MIT (undergraduate) and the University of Pennsylvania (M.A. and Ph.D.), he has spent more than 35 years studying the business cycle and providing economic analyses to a variety of constituencies.
In addition, Anthony Iriti, Director of Findlay•Hancock Economic Development, also addressed the group. Iriti gave an update on the Alliance’s vision and told of the many economic development achievements during 2011.
